Le Bellevue an environmental commitment

Le Bellevue vacation village is committed to developing an environmentally responsible approach to its activities.
This applies to its facilities, daily living practices, services and activities.

Developments emphasize the desire for maximum soil permeability (zero artificialization). Asphalt or concrete surfaces are outlawed. Sand, gravel, earth and mulch are used as floor coverings. These materials come from quarries or nearby land and are bio-sourced.

Wood is used extensively for cladding mobile homes, building terraces, railings and screens. In addition, chestnut ganivelles protect the plantations and create a pleasant landscape.

As part of our commitment to waste management, the structures of our mobile homes are recycled wherever possible, and then completely refurbished with wood cladding or panels. Our Loggias and Cosy Cottages are perfect examples of this.

Selective sorting bags are provided in each home.
All exterior and interior lighting is fitted with LED bulbs.

As far as planting is concerned, the range of local species is developed. Plants must be able to adapt both to maritime constraints and to a limited artificial water supply (only during long periods of exceptional drought). A thick mulch of shredded woody plants ensures minimum evaporation from the soil.

Bicycle rental offers an alternative to car use.

The Belle Henriette reserve offers a range of educational activities designed to help visitors get to know its ecosystem. They enable visitors to discover the composition, flora and
bird life of this special environment. This lagoon, which is optional given the rarity of lagoons in France, is called Réserve Naturelle Nationale Casse de La Belle Henriette. Its history is linked to the formation of the coastline following the creation of the Marais Poitevin. Now connected to the ocean, its evolution is a highly interesting subject. Far from being an ecological regression, this reconnection is accompanied by rare natural habitats and unique landscapes between land and sea. This renaissance has given the lagoon a richness and ecological functions of national and European interest.
The whole of this incredible spectacle can be seen from the terraces of the Cosy Cottages. You’ll take away a magical memory
