La Tranche-sur-Mer boasts 13 km of fine sandy beaches and as many opportunities for sunbathing. But when it’s playing hide-and-seek, it’s time to find alternatives to sunbathing. If clouds fill the Vendée sky, it’s also an opportunity to discover this seaside town in a whole new way.

First of all, you can enjoy regional specialties during a gourmet break in the restaurant or in the grocery stores that honor our local producers. Salted butter caramels, mogettes, salicorne, tourteau fromager or Trouspinette and fiefs vendéens wines will delight your taste buds.

After a cup of hot chocolate in a tea room, take in the sights! The Agnès Varda cinema offers screenings of the latest releases and restored versions of old movies. For book lovers, the mediatheque welcomes you for a relaxing cultural break.

In summer, you can take the whole family to L’Île aux Pirates, an amusement park with inflatables, rides, arcades and games of skill. The Monte-Carlo gaming room also awaits you for hours of fun, with slot machines, pinball machines and children’s games in a casino atmosphere.
